The inaugural ISME/MMMA Dinner Dance and Awards evening was held on Friday 11th May at the Copthorne Hotel in Dudley, attracting over 170 people from over 20 major metalworking industry companies. A fantastic night was had by all, with Pete Waterman OBE giving a very interesting, entertaining after dinner speech followed by dancing till late to the Carl Sinclair Band. The ISME Gold Medal for outstanding contribution to the Sheet Metal Industry sponsored by Sertec was made to Ray Jelf by ISME Chairman Steve Morley.
